I needed a buckle for my new
Liberty tana lawn dress whilst in France.

Le Bouton d'Or also carried a small , very good, lingerie section and baby clothes. Even though there was a wall of buttons and buckles the charming proprietress went to the back to find me just the right one.

I wish I had this shop near me.
Me too...I adore shops like this :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow Jan what an amazing looking shop!
ReplyDeleteBet you spend a while browsing in there!
Thanks for your comment - i love embroidered monograms too, both the white ones and the red ones, and I am enjoying having a go at stitching my own.

I want almost everything when I go into a Mercerie over here! It's time for another dose, thanks Jan.

Wow, me to, love treasure trove shops.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shop. I visited a similar shop in Nice after taking a bus from Villefranche Sur Mer where our ship was anchored in the harbor. It is so much fun to find needlework shops while traveling!
