I really have to do something about my ever growing yarn stash....as in 'stop buying'.
I stash it in vintage sewing baskets,
the old family bassinette,
baskets all over the house,
old laundry baskets picked up from the trash
and we are not mentioning all those liquor boxes on top of the wardrobe ( yarns from the 1980s in these)
Oh,and there is my yarn cupboard at the cabin too.
That's quite a stash you got. Reminds me of my vintage button stash. The basket I'm keeping them in is full to overflowing, yet still to stop buying is not really an option ... xxx
ReplyDeleteAh PP,you are a woman after my own heart.
DeleteOh well, 'it won't go off' ;)
ReplyDeleteAaah, the ever-growing yarn stash. I managed to stop mine growing, but can't seem to shrink it, no matter how much I knit. Your yarn cupboard is very cute. And at least you won't go short of socks if the zombie apocalypse happens - you'll be able to make your own.
ReplyDeletehow did you stop it growing?
DeleteMy cabin yarn cupboard is very old, about 1900 I think. We Found it in the trash!
Guess I'll not mention that I'm headed to a yard sale in the morning that is advertising a lot of yarn. Not that I (ahem) have ANY intention of adding to my stash.
ReplyDeleteArrrhhhhh
