Prolific , lush, blooming agapanthus tells me I am back in New Zealand.
Along with the port life,
local fairs ( Kiwis excel in this regard)
and the welcoming signs.

Hard to believe that beautiful flower is classed as a weed. I guess it's like the dandelion here - it's really beautiful when you stop to study it.

DeleteA weed? Is it?? We have one in a pot that we overwinter in the greenhouse and nurture it tenderly.

There is a movement in NZ to rid themselves of anything 'non native'. Oak trees, cats, tulips, butterflies etc.
