Brickworks market today

Another morning at the Brickworks Farmers Market in Toronto. I am getting used to the industrial site and making more use of the scaffolding. Not a bad day, sold the lovely 30s butterfly applique quilt in the upper right corner, I only bought it last week and haven't had time to get to know it.

I was lucky enough to be next to Barbara Telford of Woodsmoke Woolworks, down from New Brunswick on a trip. She hand knits the most fabulous traditional sweaters, photos do not do them justice, such a quick, even knitter and fun to have in the next booth. She says she will make another trip to TO in the fall.

another vendor who obviously likes his work!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. Gee, your stall looks inviting. Glad you sold that quilt.

  3. Bonjour Jan.

I love your textiles! The butterfly quilt was sweet. The Organic potato man had some of the biggest ones I've ever seen. They looked like a healthy proportion.

When you visited my blog you mentioned we like some of the same movies. What's one of your favorite movies? I love French movies and some of the old British ones are great, too. I can't think of any Canadian directors at the moment but there must be some fantastic choices that I haven't seen yet and that you have.

    Have a wonderful day!
