what shall I do with these
A few days at the cottage, dreadful weather. I took up 2 quilts to work on...one, from the 30s has a whimsical beard guard, alas torn, that I will take off and see what is underneath and what can be done about it. The second, tied quilt, may be a bit older with a newer 30s back. I shall unpick the whole thing, rescue the back, not sure about the very torn top...too good to waste. Finally, I had found a skein of old beehive 3 ply wool in a lovely rich rose so I dug out my old swift that I bought at a rummage sale about 25 years ago; not sure what I will do with it, not enough for much, I may team it with some other vintage wool for a wee striped sweater.
Stay tuned for progress.
Finally, do take a peek at this lovely blog contemporary embroidery. that I enjoy browsing often.
