mending at the cottage

I fixed this sweet, simple 40s quilt this week, my usual occupation whilst at the cottage. Surface mends were simple, the binding (lilac check, on the bias, slight curved edges) was very frayed. I decided to remove it, trim the backing and batting 1/4" and fold to the back. Here it is on the line
