Boarding the train with a bunch of grapes

I noticed a life sized bunch of grapes  whilst boarding the train from Paremata to Wellington last Friday, joined by
several other grapes at subsequent stops.

I knew something was up when I was greeted by this guy in yellow at the station

and this sprightly group in the main lobby.

On the way to the museum I caught a glimpse of  some surgeons getting ready for a days work (9.45am)

 Whats going on??

Its the 7s rugby tournament and all Wellingtonians are up for a party,

 including the clergy.

The barrels are sampling their own fare

and Goldilocks (all of them) make do with a coffee.

Even at Te Papa the 70s basketball team are posing.

Its 12.45 and the Cavemen off for lunch, so I follow them.....

to find the swat team propping up the bar

 and eyeing Nefertiti.

Swat team still at the bar,

but this team have been cordoned off....I wonder why?

A very friendly zebra stops to chat with us

Barbie and the pirate order drinks

and Snow White enjoys a fag whilst she pics up her email.

Wellingtonians sure know how to have a good time

however this couple of cave girls were a bit tiddly and fell over in the road.
I was exhausted after all this merrymaking and headed for the station,

as did the fairies who were immediately chatted up by these Silver dudes.

By now it was about 6.30, Heidi and her companion just arrived.

What a shame I missed the Toy Soldiers, The Toasts with Marmite, The Railway Crossing, The Meat pies, The Scrabble Set and many more imaginative party outfits.
A good time was had by all.....and it was only day 1.
