Stiff on the line

The first really cold snap left this 1930s star quilt stiff as a board.  I had to wrestle it inside. No harm done, in fact, I think it helps the old quilts.
Toronto has got off lightly this year, with way above average temperatures for November and December.
Knew it could not last forever....

  1. The unseasonably warm (for the most part) weather was so lovely this year, but I guess Old Man Winter had to show up some time. Too bad, if it had to start snowing, we didn't get a picturesque which Christmas this year.

Lovely, lovely vintage quilt. I adore the soft, feminine colours.

Many thanks for your blog comment today, dear gal, I really appreciate it and hope you have a stellar New Year!

  2. I love this quilt. It's pretty and pink.

Time to pull out the soup crocks in your neck of the woods. We are waiting for it to blow through here.

Do you have any vintage hankies (cheap ones not collector)?

Bonne et Heureuse Année 2012!! to my friend and France lover.

  4. I love the smell of washing that has been frozen on the line and I'm sure it will be very good for your old quilt too.
Have a great New Year in Toronto...
